I tried the installation “without Matlab” and right click still didn’t work. I’m afraid I cannot go back to an older matlab version, as you suggested. See pasted below the output of the command “ver”. Both OSX and Matlab version were upgraded recently (before the installation of Brainstorm though). Right click works correctly in the Matlab interface.
